The transparent flexible antennas are an alternative to standard Flexible PCB antennas where the user may want to install an antenna in a covert area or on a surface, they may want to keep visible. The performance of the antenna is based on the environment where it is placed, care should be taken to mount at least 20mm from metal components where possible.

Invisible Antenna Installation

The TFX series installation process is similar to that of flexible PCB antennas. When installing a transparent material, it is important to be mindful of visible flaws or debris. Prior to attaching the antenna, ensure that the area is thoroughly wiped clean. To simplify the installation, the flexible antenna can be detached from the main body. In cases where support might be lacking, we recommend using double-sided adhesive on the housing. This precaution ensures that the installation of the housing body does not exert any additional pulling force on the antenna, which could negatively impact its performance and the adhesive’s effectiveness. It is important to note that the feed is not designed to bear loads. Loads exceeding 0.5Kg can potentially break or damage the feed, causing the antenna to disconnect. This antenna is connected via a FAKRA Code D male connector for ease of installation.
